misczak: How many generations will it be until the floppy disk “save” icon in many programs (Office, Paint, etc.) is just an abstract icon, and has no conceptual background to the user? I wonder what we could possibly change it to

Amen to that. Nothing drives me crazier than poor labeling. I’ve never been a fan of Google’s “I’m feeling lucky” button for that reason. Luck has little to do with search. As much as I like cheeky copy, that one just never hit home. Even after I found out what it did, I don’t think I’ve ever used it because I want to see more than just the first result....
